Toonik Tyme is an annual spring festival of Iqaluit which has exiting activities for the visitors. Toonik Tyme has been a community tradition since 1965. The residents celebrate the return of spring as a community and visitors experience the unique and exclusive culture of the Canadian Arctic.
A jam-packed, week-long schedule includes traditional Inuit activities such as igloo building, dog team races, Inuit games, and a seal skinning contest. The event also features the other activities like snowmobile races, Iqaluit Fear Factor, the craft fair, scavenger hunts and much more.
