Sylvia Grinnell Territorial Park is located about one kilometer from Iqaluit. It takes a 30 minute walk to get the park. Sylvia Grinnell Territorial Park offers incredible views of the beautiful unspoiled Canadian arctic landscape. The park offers different activities to do including hiking, fishing, or just taking in the picturesque scenery while picnicking. The hiking trails tell about the area’s cultural and natural heritage.

Caribou, arctic fox and approximately 40 different species of birds are found in the park. Sylvia Grinnell park provides opportunities for wildlife photography, dog sledding and cross country skiing.
