The Halifax Pop Explosion is a five day music, culture, and media festival and conference. It is celebrated from October 18 to October 22 every year. The festival brings the homegrown talent to meet with industry attendees and other artists who would unreachable to them.

The East Coast and Halifax had been a vivacious music community for decades but presently there are more bands from various genres, many more and better venues and more music industry professionals.
