George Street in downtown St. John's is centre of the entertainment district and very famous and renown in the whole world with its two blocks of bars, pubs, restaurants. George Street attracts thousands of visitors for its magnificent music, wonderful stories and magnetic musicians.

George Street is running parallel to and between Water and New Gower Street and things are a little different here.

There are pubs, restaurants, and coffee shops throughout the downtown area that are open for 24 hours and some hidden inside alleys, some spilling onto the sidewalks.
